I am Jozefina Komporaly, a London-based translator, interpreter and academic with over twenty years’ experience as a linguist and published author.

I am a member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI), the UK’s Society of Authors/Translators’ Association and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Jozefina Komporaly has done a remarkable job; the collection does cover an impressive range of formal approaches and political concerns, while amounting to an excellent sample of the manifold and transnational diversity of Romanian theatre’s diasporic voices and underrepresented communities.

Komporaly renders Visniec’s lucid absurdism in all its poetry but without poeticizing, and with an intimate understanding of his characters’ interiority and tonal quirks.
