I am Jozefina Komporaly, a London-based translator, interpreter and academic with over twenty years’ experience as a linguist and published author. I am a member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI), the UK’s Society of Authors/Translators’ Association and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Currently, I am senior lecturer in Creative Research at the School of Performance, Wimbledon College of Arts, University of the Arts London and teach translation practice at the University of Cardiff.
I have a degree in MFL, MA and PhD Studies in Comparative Literature and Drama and post-doctoral studies in Translation Studies. I am regularly invited to speak on my translation work at conferences and public events, such as the recent Romania Rocks Festival: Romania Rocks 2: Special Events – The Art of Translation. Romanian Literature Across Borders | European Literature Network. I am available for translation, editing, interpreting and consultancy work.
